Chaplaincy Services
NCA’s chaplains are based in law enforcement agencies, correctional facilities, medical facilities, government departments and more throughout the country, providing chaplaincy services to individuals and departments in need. Our chaplains are on call 24 hours a day and respond to every crisis with compassion, professionalism and effectiveness.
Our chaplaincy services include but are not limited to:
- Administering last rites for members of all faiths
- Liaising between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve
- Providing spiritual guidance and counseling to all members of the department, both sworn and civilian, as well as to their families whenever we are called upon
- Providing respite and visitation for injured and ill officers
- Assisting in hostage negotiations and de escalation
- Providing counseling and support in the wake of civilian suicide to both family members and officers.
- Offering prayers and benedictions at official functions and communal events
- Delivering death notifications
- Providing full support to families of fallen officers, standing by them and helping them process their grief and anger.
- Accompanying law enforcement on sensitive missions and calls and initiating support and debriefing in the aftermath
- Educating department officials and staff on religious, spiritual and cultural issues
- Ensuing that personnel of all religions and traditions are offered equal opportunity to practice their faith and have access to spiritual and emotional support resources within the community.
- Dedicating ourselves to every aspect of the wellbeing of public service providers who risk their lives every day for our sake, ensuring that we are always there for those who are always there for their community.
